“The tree of liberty could not grow were it not watered with the blood of kings.” – Bertrand Barère de Vieuzac

Happy Bastille Day!  Prompted by the earlier dismissal of the King’s finance minister, Jacques Necker,  Parisians stormed the Bastille in the center of Paris on this day in 1789. Although the prison only held seven inmates at the time, the event become the flash point of the revolution.  Soon, cries of Liberté, égalité, fraternité would become a national motto.  The armed conflict would continue with the beheading of King Louis XVI and end with Bonaparte’s coup of the government.

On this day, Valley Games is pleased to announce the long awaited reprint of Martin Wallace’s Liberté.  This new edition features unique card art for every personality as well as an updated game board. A full color rule book is included with images and game set-up.  This game will storm tables by 4th quarter 2010.
